SURGE- search, serve, soar.
Ooops.. this blog has been dead for so long, But if you have noticed, i have been posting at the other blog. For now, i'm gonna post about my awesome church camp at malaysia, Jb, Good hope hotel.
This year's camp was just plain... Good. Before the camp, my holidays was full of balling, having games, and trainings... kind of boring. i mean not that balling is not fun and competitive, but to me, God is more important, So i just signed up for the camp. Later, it was sad to find out that one of the 'milo cup' matches was against Siglap(anglican high), a tough team, when i was suppose to be at camp. I decided to go for camp to renew my relationship with God and also because I have already paid the money.
Every service we had in the camp was about 3-4 hours long, however, the worship was awesome. It felt so Good to be touched by God again and just praising Him and worship Him for who He is. The sermons by our youth pastor, and brothers and sisters in christ about the camp tag line, "search serve soar", also spoke to me a lot, to change myself.
"Search for God whole heartedly... serve God in places He has called you to... watch Him carry you under His wings to soar to greater heights", pastors foreword.
The games were also about surging for God. Innovative games came out by our adult leaders which has objectives for us to experience how life is going to be, the difficult times and struggles, the test of faith and of coure, how to search, serve, soar for God.
After the camp, i felt that my passion for God has increased greatly. Although we received the news that Dos(my team) lost to siglap, i was kind of sad, but i still want to thank God for what He has done in me through the camp and i do not regret going for this camp. so after beating hwa chong intitution, tagawa, another tough game, and tongwhye(today), we arrived 2nd placing in the milo cup tournament.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.(NIV)
